Game Releases: February 2013

Hope the grind isn't bringing anyone down too much, as we're now in the 2nd month of 2013 and it's business as usual for both school and work. The big games are coming out slowly but surely, and as signs indicate that this console gen might be ending you'll be delighted to see that it'll go down swinging. After a large jump in presentation from one trailer to the next, and a rocky reception to this new change in style, this new entry in the well known series for tactical stealth action deviates quite far from pure stealth. Despite all this, after a bizarre but effective viral marketing campaign as well as a well received demo and youtube overview vids, expectations have now been set high for the release of 'Raiden's new adventure in the Metal Gear universe, that is in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Unique hack n slash mechanics, interesting cyborg design and over the top yet very 'Metal Gear'-esque bosses, 'Revengeance' looks to be another big hack n slash game that tries to present an exciting new game for Raiden, now a fully fledged cyborg ninja, as well as still keep to the Metal Gear universe's style. I urge any fan of hack n slash games to give this one a look, cause it's bound to be a fantastic game.
